About the partners
In South Denmark you find castles and manors, villages and cities where the cultural heritage is brought to life. With the North Sea to the west and The Baltic to the east the maritime traditions have been a part of the environment for centuries. In South Denmark there is an extensive network of signposted trails for walking, cycling and horseback riding.
A holiday in South Denmark is very child-friendly, and for families there are a lot of opportuinties to explore the nature and enjoy the simple things in life. Gastronomy is also highly rated by the local inhabitants and therefore there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy world class cuisine or buy good local organic grown products.
Sustainable tourism is very important for South Denmark, however there is space for improvement. One way to become a world class tourism destination is by participating in the PRESERVE project.
